Swiss health insurers need to be the point of contact for their customers in both the analog and the digital world. More and more insured people want to communicate with their insurance by e-mail. Our customer, a leading Swiss health insurance, has accepted this challenge. One of their most important requirements was: E-mails may only be sent in clearly defined circumstances and without sensitive personal data. As with traditional letter correspondence, the technical solution should enable the uncomplicated archiving of both incoming and outgoing e-mails to the respective insured person. Finally, the existing signature rules for certain answers, including outgoing e-mails, should be easy to implement.
Inacta implemented and launched the inadox MAIL solution in just three months. With the new solution, more than 1,000 users can easily archive emails directly from Microsoft Outlook and link them to the corresponding business object in the ERP system. Special attention was paid to the seamless integration into the customer's authentication and service infrastructure, taking into account all software distribution requirements. In coordination with the functional requirements of the signature regulation, Inacta implemented another add-on with which the e-mail approval process within Outlook can be handled.
To the outside world, our customer becomes a service provider who is open to technical innovations and uses various communication channels responsibly. Through interdependent organizational measures and the simple handling of the new components, e-mails are used in a legally compliant form when communicating outside the organisation and systematically archived as an increasingly important part of the business correspondence.
